hmmm
Well, first of all let me start off by saying that you're only hurting yourself by not telling her how you feel. They ARE your clothes, and she has to learn to start loving her own. Besides, she's your friend. How mad could she get? --Posted by glamourousDame 10:26AM EST 01/18/05

Buy Her Similar Clothing
Maybe you should try buying her similar clothing to yours for her birthday! By doing this, she will have her own clothing to wear and she will appreciate the thought! --Posted by mandy3261 05:35AM EST 01/18/05

GOT TO LEARN TO SAY NO
It's very hard to say no to somebody that you are close to, but if she really is your friend she will understand. ... Trade clothes or other things. Like she can wear one of your shirts if you can wear whatever of hers you want. --Posted by ramccraney007 10:54AM EST 01/16/05

Tell Her The Truth
You shouldn't have to make up some lie or excuse because if you do then it might just lead to other problems. Good Luck! --Posted by qtpie4eva92 11:16PM EST 01/15/05

She Admires Your Taste
She might want to borrow your clothes because she admires your fashion sense. Maybe next time you guys shop together and you see something you like tell your friend to get it. She'll appreciate it. --Posted by smartbrunette 02:09PM EST 01/15/05

hehe
Well gURL, you've got a bad situation. I know how you feel, I've had the same problem, but it just stopped after a while. ... You can tell her that your mom doesn't like her wearing your clothes. Or you can say you've decided that you want to be yourself and build up a stronger personality, and therefore no one can wear your clothes from now on because you want your clothes to represent only you! Good luck. --Posted by anichka14 10:57AM EST 01/14/05

Think of ways around it
If you don't want her to wear your clothes before you even get to wear them, then just say something like, "Well let me wear it a few times and then you can borrow it." She should understand that. Also, if that doesn't work, think of ways to work around it. For example, go shopping together and pick out clothes that you would like and say, "Hey this would look adorable on you!" Then maybe she'll start buying them herself. But, bottom line, if she's a real friend than you should be able to just tell her the honest truth that it's cool if she wants to borrow your clothes every now And then, but that you want to wear them first because, after all, they are yours. --Posted by outie22 10:42AM EST 01/14/05

Just tell her you want to wear it first to make sure it fits. --Posted by hotty872 08:14AM EST 01/14/05
