Don't beat around the bush! I'd tell her, "I saw you and your guy at the mall the other day." She'd reply with, "I wasn't at the mall the other day." That's when you tell her what happened.

first talk to him
Tell him that it's not cool to be doing that to his girl. Then tell him that you think he needs to tell her about it himself! But make sure he knows if he doesn't tell, then you will. And when she does find out, just make sure you be the best friend you can to her, she'll most likely want space so give it to her, just let her know that if she needs you that you'll be there.

I think you should just sit her down and calmly tell her. She deserves to know and who better to tell her than her best friend. ... Just think about if you were in her shoes, who would you want to hear it from? Someone you love and trust, your best friend, or somebody that you could possibly be in love with but doesn't think that one woman is enough? Whatever you decide just think about her first and how or who she would want to tell her.

If I were you I would tell her that you saw him in the mall and that he was with a girl and they were a liitle too friendly to be just friends. Then let her take it into her own hands.
