But.

Don't tell him unless he's single.
If you tell him and he has a girlfriend, he might be more inclined to stay with her because he might feel bad for cheating on her. Believe me, I'm in the same exact situation. --Posted by missy_poo2006 02:14PM EST 10/26/04

Been there.. Done that...
Okay first off I'm sorry about what your going through. I went through the same thing but never thought of putting it on here. Second of all: You have to tell him. When I went through this I told him I wanted to be more than "friends with benefits" and it turned out he did too. And whether he feels the same or not; you seem uncomfortable with the situation, which is not at all a good thing. If he doesn't want you back, kick him to the curb, and always remember: Everyone's beautiful in their own way, and if the guy you want doesn't want you back, then he doesn't deserve you anyways!!! Hope I helped!!! --Posted by chris_baby_girl 09:40PM EST 10/25/04

If he really is a good friend, like a best guyfriend or something, then you might be okay. If he cares about you and you trust him, then full steam ahead. BUT if this a sort of superficial relationship there is great potential for you to get your feelings hurt. It's in a girl's nature, 9 times out of 10, to associate emotions with sexual activities. But guys tend to think with a certain "appendage" way more than they listen to their brain. ... Most people don't think fwb will affect them much, but it could have a major affect on how you view future sexual relationships. Put your "love" for him aside for a moment, that's what I had to do, and take an unbiased look at the relationship you have with him. Imagine you had a friend in the exact same situation, what would you tell them? --Posted by onlykrc 07:29PM EST 10/25/04
