This guy at school makes fun of Asians. He says they're stupid and that they don't belong in America. He also says that their eyes are the ugliest eyes in the world. I told him that he shouldn't feel that way or say those things, but he won't listen. How can I show him that he's being racist?
demand that he listens
You need to sit him down and force him to listen to what you have to say. Because racism isn't a joke. And if he doesn't listen to you, just ditch the loser.

Ask him why
Ask him why he feels this way. This usually throws any discriminator off. If he replies with something rude like, "They aren't from here," you should point out that unless he's full blooded Native American(which is highly unlikely), he also has had family immigrate to this country. All Americans are Americans, regardless of their race or ethnicity. Everyone has a right to live in the United States and if he's so shallow and ignorant he can't accept that, then he will have some major problems when he hits the real world. --Posted by darkserenity 09:48PM EST 06/22/04
